Brookfield, WI—Camps Leelanau and Kohahna kicked off their camp show tour in Brookfield at the Morales family home. Following a delicious dinner, Leelanau Director Weldon Rutledge and Kohahna Director Kathleen Moyer premiered the new camp video and shared with prospective campers, returning campers, counselors, parents, and friends, why camp is an experience not to be missed.
Camp Leelanau for Boys and Camp Kohahna for Girls offer an enriching and inclusive summer camp program for Christian Science young people enrolled in Sunday Schools of Christian Science branch churches and societies around the world. Programming covers a wide variety of activities from sailing and canoeing, ceramics and woodworking, to competitive landsports and skills training and outdoor camping trips. Everyone can participate regardless of skill level.
"Camp Kohahna is without a doubt a second home to me," said Kohahna counselor and former camper Emily Sander. "I developed lasting friendships and found many role models there. Camp encouraged me to be my best, to acknowledge the good in others, and to celebrate the growth that everyone experiences. It's a wonderful place to gain experience and confidence in applying Chrisitian Science in daily life."
