Madison, WI—Recently, Christian Science has been showing up more in the media. Sometimes, the pictures presented are not always the most positive—or even accurate. During this week's CSO meeting, we'll take a look at some of the misunderstandings about Christian Science that were presented on an episode of a popular television show specifically, and then we’ll go straight to the source. We’ll be addressing any questions and concerns openly and honestly. So whether you're a lifelong Christian Scientist, or someone who’s only just heard about it recently because of a TV show, you are welcome to join us! We'll be providing some kind of free food to snack on—maybe popcorn, or maybe a dessert—haven't quite decided yet.
This week's meeting will take place on Monday, February 6th at 8:00 PM. If for any reason you'd rather skip the episode and just dive right in for the discussion, plan to arrive at about 8:30. Please RSVP on Facebook to help us better gauge how much food to bring.
Anyone and everyone is welcome at CSO meetings. You are valuable, and we'd love to see you there! This CSO meeting will take place at 315 N. Mills Street—located across the street from the chemistry building. Just ring the doorbell.
The Christian Science Organization is a registered student organization comprised chiefly of University of Wisconsin-Madison students. The mission of the CSO is to support the daily spiritual needs of students on the UW Madison campus. It is an interfaith organization that welcomes any student, and at meetings we share passages from The Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
