Be perfect

BE PERFECT

Dear God, what does it mean to be perfect like you?
Do I have to read the Lesson more and fast twice a day too?
Do I have to be born again or will the old man do?
Is this mortal, material man called me, really, really true?

You the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-loving One
Radiating Mind, Life, Truth and Love like rays from the sun,
You, the Creator, made in your image each daughter and son
To be spiritual beings, unique, complete, finished, done!

Dear child of mine, what does it mean to be perfect like me?
Why, being precisely who you are, fetterless and free.
Heir to my throne, child of God; no child of mine can a mortal be.
For you are spirit born and spiritual you will be - perfect like me.
