The January 15, 2012 Christian Science Bible Lesson is Life.

“Life is Mind, the creator reflected in His creations.”

Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (331:5-6)

  • Even in the most dire situations, there is an answer. Moses told the children of Israel to “choose life.” (Deuteronomy 30:19) Expressions of Life—accomplishment, persistence, playfulness, agelessness—are the essence of who you are, and you have divine authority to celebrate and demonstrate these qualities.
  • Food has no power to help or harm your life. It’s our daily nourishment of goodness and moral thinking that keeps us fit and gives us energy. Check out Daniel’s story in section 3.
  • Time and age are not factors in our level of happiness or purpose. Fresh and meaningful beginnings are at hand every moment, and we can “bring forth fruit in old age.” (Psalms 92:14))

Every day, Christian Scientists around the world read and study the weekly Christian Science Bible Lesson for inspiration and healing.  Each week's Bible Lesson consists of carefully selected passages from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy.  The same Bible Lesson is read at all Christian Science churches, and everyone is welcome to attend services.
