The January 29, 2012 Christian Science Bible Lesson is Love.

“[DIVINE LOVE] is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (578:5)

  • Love is always at work in our lives. However frightening or bleak the outlook seems, dwell in God’s protective presence and guidance, and you will find permanent peace and healing.
  • God does not overwhelm His children. The belief that we need more time, energy, or focus is replaced by patient calm as we realize that God is continuously guiding us to a secure and right place. “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.” (Psalms 23:2)
  • Jesus taught us to expect healing every day. We don’t have to wait for church next week to demonstrate our God-given freedom from sickness and sin. Learn more in section 3.

Every day, Christian Scientists around the world read and study the weekly Christian Science Bible Lesson for inspiration and healing.  Each week's Bible Lesson consists of carefully selected passages from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy.  The same Bible Lesson is read at all Christian Science churches, and everyone is welcome to attend services.
