blue bottles 001The Lord's Prayer is a constant prayer in my life. Many times I say it in the morning when I get up and in the evening as soon as I am under the covers. Usually as I begin driving I repeat the Lord's Prayer along with the Daily Prayer, A Rule for Motives and Acts, as well as the Mary Baker Eddy prayer I learned as a little child,

Father-Mother God,
Loving me, —
Guard me when I sleep;
Guide my little feet
Up to Thee.

and I feel the protection for all those on the roadways. I say the Lord's Prayer whenever a challenge appears, and then I am grounded and ready to receive spiritual enlightenment from God.

The Lord’s Prayer is also such a special prayer to me because all Christians know it, and when we are saying it together we are one. What love we share!

Hallowed be Thy name. Adorable One.
Mary Baker Eddy's spiritual interpretation of the second line of the Lord’s Prayer meant even more to me when I looked up the words in the American Dictionary of the English Language from 1828, that she may have used.  It is "Adorable one."  Adorable means of the utmost love and respect; worthy of divine honors.  This was very powerful for me.  I am grateful for this discovery this past year.

Note:
Here are two of the prayers mentioned above from The Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy:

Daily Prayer
"Thy kingdom come;" let the reign of divine Truth, Life, and Love be established in me, and rule out of me all sin; and may Thy Word enrich the affections of all mankind, and govern them!

Rule for Motives and Acts
Neither animosity nor mere personal attachment should impel the motives or acts of the members of The Mother Church. In Science, divine Love alone governs man; and a Christian Scientist reflects the sweet amenities of Love, in rebuking sin, in true brotherliness, charitableness, and forgiveness. The members of this Church should daily watch and pray to be delivered from all evil, from prophesying, judging, condemning, counseling, influencing or being influenced erroneously.
